Shape Memory Effect | Sustained Force Without Compromise

 

MOLEKUR™ Pro Neo is manufactured using special thermoplastic shape memory polymer (SMP) combined with a unique structural design. It not only preserves the superior mechanical properties and reliability of thermoplastic polymers but also features excellent shape memory characteristics that effectively compensate for the inherent stress relaxation of polymer materials.

After being worn for a period, aligners made from Pro Neo can be restored to their original shape through brief immersion in warm water. 3D scan image comparison shows that the overall accuracy loss after shape memory effect is no more than 2.2%. In particular, the front teeth—the area most prone to deformation— accuracy reaches as high as 99.8%, nearly identical to the initial aligner.

Both initial force level and 24-hour stress relaxation closely match the original aligner state, enabling the material to achieve “active reset” and self-repair, thereby consistently delivering stable and effective orthodontic force.
